Nic Durso: The reason I compete in men's physique is because I like to lift weights and do not compete in boxing anymore. I chose lifestyle physiques after seeing a friend Jillian Walters look so good and happy with Ray. Since being with lifestyles I have not only gained a coach and teammates, but actual friends and constant support! Before meeting ray and melissa I struggled with finding a coach that seemed to care and want to take me to the level I desired. Lifestyle physiques has taken me to a higher level and I do not plan on competing without them!
Hello! My name is Lindsay Mathieu, I am 26 years old. I was born & raised here in Arizona. I was directed to Team Lifestyle Physiques by a mutual friend, and am beyond blessed having found this team. When I was younger I was very active. I ran track and field for 6 years and a little b-ball too 😉 In my adolescent years I struggled with drug addiction for 7 years. I made a lifestyle change October 15th 2011, and decided to get sober. I started weight lifting later in the year 2012. Weight lifting for me is my "me" time. It's my time to push limits, break thru barriers and smash goals. I'm forever growing, evolving, and pushing myself to the breaking point... It's a lifestyle. A lifestyle I love. I decided to compete in my first show in July 2014. After experiencing the satisfaction of getting on that stage and showcasing all of my hard work, I was hooked. My current goal is to re-qualify nationally and experience my first national show next year at the USA's in Vegas 2016. I'm blessed to be surrounded by such a supportive team and coach. We all have a mutual understanding of this lifestyle and support one another. Team Lifestyle Physiques!!! "A cut above the rest."
Cody Simpson: Cody played all sports up until his sophomore year in high school when a shoulder injury required a major surgery. He quit playing and started working full time while going to school until a horrific car accident caused the loss of his friend the summer after graduating high school. He walked on to a community college football team and began going back to school. 2 years later after an all American season he transferred to northeastern state on a full scholarship. Things were off to a great start gaining interest with multiple NFL teams until a final concussion ended his football career. After football and working for a few years in the construction industry he decided to compete in 2014 and found a new passion. Went through a couple different coaches through his first few shows trying to find the fit that was right. After knowing Ray for years through House of Fitness, when he decided to start, he knew Lifestyle Physiques would be the next step. In Cody’s words “I found a team that makes each other better and is drama free with a coach that cares more about his athletes then his bank account” He is now preparing for the national stage and a VP of operations for a construction company.
Hi! My name is Dallas Jackson and I'm 19 years old originally from Anniston, Alabama. I grew up playing sports, anywhere from gymnastics and dance, softball to pole vaulting. I ultimately started my fitness journey at 16 when I worked at a gym as a lifeguard and swim instructor. After every shift I was in the gym teaching myself how to lift weights (I learned how by watching what muscular guys were doing and then I would go look it up on YouTube and watch videos on form). I had seen competitors before and knew I wanted to compete and finally took the jump to compete at 18 in NPC Teen Bikini at 5'2", 150 pounds. I Have lost 20+ pounds since. Striving to qualify and place in nationals and ultimately take home my pro card. I have always been told I can't, so I did and I will continue to do so. I was lead to Lifestyle Physiques by the fact every single athlete is important. Lifestyle has a great family atmosphere that I am so excited to be a part of! My name is Connor Jeffries, I am a 23 year old young professional and student at Arizona state university. I came to lifestyle physiques when my training partner Nic Durso had nothing but good things to say about Ray Ballesteros. I met Ray when I was competing at the Arizona open and soon saw how genuine of a guy he was first hand. I wasn't his client, paid him no money/met him that day and he helped me with getting pumped up/ready to hit the stage since I was at the show by myself. We spoke about my goals and where I'm trying to go in this sport, and it seemed like a perfect fit. What I love about TeamLP is that we're an actual team. We push and challenge each other. Weeks before competition when you're exhausted and the workouts become difficult, I have 5+ other teammates I can call to workout with and help each other out. We're in this together and you get the family/team feel with lifestyle physiques. #teamLP
